The YouTube poster here shows how easy it is to spike someone's drink with what could be a "roofie", KO drops or whatever. I've met numerous people at work who were convinced their drink was spiked and had to get home quickly. Fortunately they apparently took only tiny sips between long pauses so they didn't get the drug's full impact.
I actually did some doctor shopping 20 years ago to get the highly potent sleeping pill rohypnol which is on the top 10 list of date rape substances. It's a prescription drug in Germany where I'm a resident. It's illegal in the USA. I was in a black depression crisis and to avoid "the dark nights of the soul" I got a prescription for this substance. It came in a pack of 20 1mg pills and when it was bedtime I took one of the pills. I was simply knocked out and the apartment complex could have burn down with me in it and I wouldn't have reacted. I noticed I had a "retroactive amnesia "and had taken notes probably before taking the pill, but had absolutely no memory of this. When I took the flight to US for my brother's funeral I did take a half a rohypnol for the to and back flights. My son took a picture on me on my plane seat blacked out with a wide open mouth. I didn't tell him I took this "roofie" and still have some these pills from that single prescrption.
The package is identical to what I had in 1999 except it contained 20 much smaller white pills. The manufacturer has probably added a bitter taste and maybe even a convulsive agent to curb + stop the date raping, addictions + suicides that the pills I had were notorious for. BTW I laugh nowadays at the crisis that compelled me to get this drug in the 1st place. I guess everyone loses their perspective sometimes in life.
Supposedly there is a drug that, when taken, will cause you to be completely compliant to whatever request is made of you. A few, in a documentary I saw, helped clean out their apartments and loaded their belongings onto a truck.
